Microsoft Access 2007 - Level 3
This one day course is intended for people who already have a good understanding of Microsoft Access and wish to learn how to automate and make better use of the features in Access.
This course is designed for participants who can create a relational database in Access 2000 and who now wish to know how to automate the operation of the database and work with some of the more exotic features. It assumes an understanding of database design, queries, forms and reports.
An understanding of database creation and design is assumed.
At the completion of this course participants will be able to:
- split the tables from a database file
- completely secure a database file and its objects so that unauthorised access is prevented
- create and maintain multiple copies of a database file
- create aggregated queries
- create a data access page
- create data access pages using the Design View
- create simple macros
- use conditions in macros
- create macros for the use with forms
- create a macro for an option group to provide instant filtering
- write a simple procedure in VBA
