Indesign CS3 - Fundamentals
Adobe InDesign CS3, Adobe's page layout and design software, has been updated to accelerate user productivity with loads of new features such as new Photoshop effects including gradient feathering, inner shadows, and glows that you can apply to objects on a page. Finer transparency controls, which let you apply transparency settings independently to an object's fill, stroke, and content for more complex visual looks, etc.
This course is ideal people who want to master the key features of this program, while participants who already have some experience with InDesign can use this course to familiarise themselves with InDesign CS3's newest features.
Strong computer skills and file management.
This course will provide you with sufficient knowledge to competently work with Adobe InDesign. We'll begin with a discussion of digital publishing fundamentals ensuring students develop good habits and workflow practices before we move onto techniques which unlock the InDesign's more advanced features. Master pages, typography, image placement, library items, linking and hyperlinking will all be covered, along with the essential task of exporting to PDF - ready for offset printshop, laser printer, email or web.

Funding for the Strategic Skills Program (SSP), for both full and part qualifications has been released to State Training Services Regional Centres (STSRC) to enable purchasing under the SSP to commence for 2011. For 2011-2012 PPP has been incorporated into the Strategic Skills Program (SSP).
