ICA20105 Certificate II in Information Technology
This qualification provides the foundation ICT skills and knowledge for an individual to be an effective ICT user or employee. The qualification has a fundamental ICT knowledge and skills base which is pivotal for all other qualifications in ICA05. The 8 core units contain those basic ICT skills and knowledge required for effective entry into all ICA05 qualifications from Certificate III upwards. The qualification introduces OH&S and soft skills such as communication into the 8 core units.
ICA30105 Certificate III in Information Technology
This qualification has been designed to provide the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in introductory Information Communications Technology (ICT) ‘technical’ functions, and is designed to support information activities in the workplace and to achieve a degree of self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT ‘user’.
This course provides a comprehensive background to both hardware and software associated with personal computers and is suitable for a person providing basic software support to a unit or branch within an organisation.
ICA40105 Certificate IV in Information Technology (General)
This qualification is designed for individuals who wish to acquire the general all round ICT skills and knowledge to be competent in basic communications and documentation, software, client support and general ICT technologies. You will be able to effectively support small to medium enterprises that need an ‘all-round’ ICT graduate at a general support level.
ICA40205 Certificate IV in Information Technology (Support)
This qualification is designed to provide the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a variety of information technology support roles including database administration. The qualification has a strong ICT base of 12 common core units with the potential for inclusion of a range of broader support, help desk and database units to suit particular needs.
ICA40305 Certificate IV in Information Technology (Websites)
This qualification is designed to provide the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in website design and/or administration either as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team. The qualification has a strong ICT base with the potential for inclusion of a range of broader design and multimedia units to suit particular needs.
ICA40805 Certificate IV in Information Technology (Multimedia)
This qualification is designed to provide the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in designing, developing and utilising basic multimedia briefs either as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team. This course will provide participants with a broad range of skills required for entry into the multimedia industry and covers a range of areas including design, multimedia software (e.g., Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop) project management, 2D animation, and digital imaging.
