BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in a wide range of organisational and industry contexts. They may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. Typically they would report to a manager.
At this level frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others ad take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.
There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.
Participants achieving this qualification will develop skills and knowledge in;
- Building and fostering good workplace relationships
- Becoming a frontline manager
- Developing and implementing operational and continuous improvement plans
- Providing guidance to others and achieving effective functioning outcome focused teams
- Leading teams whilst providing effective leadership

- BSBMGT403A - Implement continuous improvement
- BSBMKG413A - Promote products and services
- BSBREL401A - Establish networks
- BSBWOR401A - Establish effective workplace relationships
To be awarded this qualification, the student must successfully complete 10 units of competency, 4 Core units, and 6 Elective units.
Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
After achieving the BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management, students may undertake the BSB51107 Diploma of Management, or a range of other Diploma qualifications.
A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.
