BSB30407 Certificate III in Business Administration
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of administrative competencies in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgment. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.
Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include: Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk, Clerk, Data Entry Operator, Junior Personal Assistant, Receptionist, Office Administration Assistant/Administrator and Word Processing Operator.
There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.
Participants achieving this qualification will develop skills and knowledge in;
- working in a business environment
- organising workplace information, producing business documents, producing text from notes and designing and developing business documents
- maintaining financial records
- delivering and monitoring a service to customers
- supporting the implementation of occupational health and safety policy and procedures
- creating and using databases and electronic presentations
- keyboarding skills and organising schedules

To be awarded this qualification, the student must successfully complete 13 units of competency, 2 Core units, 7 administration units and 4 Elective units.
Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a BSB30407 Certificate III in Business Administration.
This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
After achieving the BSB30407 Certificate II in Business Administration, students may undertake the BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration or a range of other Certificate IV qualifications.
A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.
