BSB20107 Certificate II in Business

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a wide range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context, working under direct supervision.

Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors.  Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include; Administration Assistant, Clerical Worker, Data Entry Operator, Information Desk Clerk, Office Junior, Receptionist.

Prerequisites: 

There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.

Course Outcomes: 

Participants achieving this qualification will develop skills and knowledge in;

  • communicating effectively and interacting confidently through and within a business environment, within either the private or public sector
  • a range of business information technologies, appropriate to both the private and public administration sectors
  • a range of individual and group strategies to resolve issues and complete tasks within both private and public sector administrative environments

Qualification Rules: 

To be awarded this qualification, the student must successfully complete 12 units of competency, 1 Core unit and 11 Elective units.

Accreditation and Articulation: 

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a BSB20107 Certificate II in Business.

Pathways from the Qualification: 

After achieving the BSB20107 Certificate II in Business, students may undertake the BSB30107 Certificate III in Business or a range of other Certificate III qualifications.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): 

A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.
